Film

Watching 'Independence Day' on the box. A silly formulaic and very cliche film but harmless bit of dross for a Saturday night at home. I'm starting to cheer for the aliens. The put-upon Americans are getting on my nerves already. Just zap them now, please dear aliens. I've had quite enough. A man can only take so much, after all.

Reading

Reading. Now I'm living the life of a single man again I have started to do more reading and I have to say I am really enjoying it. There's nothing quite like settling down to read for a few hours on end in a book you just know you are going to enjoy. What a pleasure for the senses. It engages the whole spectrum of human emotions and triggers thoughts that you would not have had otherwise. I've just put up a few book shelves and there is extra capacity, enabling me to buy some more volumes. Hooray!

Even more sports

As if there wasn't enough sports on Aussie television we will have a 24-hour free-to-air sports channel tomorrow. All the sports you can stomach and then some more. And just when you get enough of all the sports, you get some more sports. Oh well..as long as they include some proper football, I don't mind.

Summer and autumn

Summer has gone but it's still rather warm. I don't mind it if the weather gets a bit cooler. I'm looking forward to that crisp fresh sunny weather that I experienced here a few years ago when I visited in the month of June. There were some beautiful clear skies then and a wonderful freshness to the air that I breathed. Roll on!

The beauty of the mother

A pregnant woman is a beautiful woman. I think we can all safely agree on that premise. There is something very special about the unique glow that exudes from a woman who is expecting a new life. Just the promise of that new baby, be a boy or a girl, can add a very special and moving aspect to the usual charming arsenal of a woman’s attractiveness. And, of course, we would want our pregnant spouses or partners to have the very best of everything they need during this sometimes trying but rewarding time, I think that goes without saying.

Of course, it is important for a woman to feel that she is looking her best. I think this is true of most women at any given time. When a woman is pregnant this does not necessarily change, I would wager. Perhaps it is even more important to a pregnant woman to feel nice and good about herself. That is why a lot of pregnant women, some of whom are very famous, find a great range of beauty products from Beaute de Maman. Pregnant ladies should definitely check this line out.

Consider this unique line of health and beauty products that has been developed by a certified obstetrician to deal with problems particularly designed for the physiological and hormonal changes that women go through during pregnancy and order now.

Football

Just watched a bit of football. Ronalde was doing his party trick and kicking a free kick with much aplomb. He really is a good player even though he seems like a real so and so. But I suppose if Wayne Rooney can forgive him perhaps he is all right after all. I just don't go in for those coiffed latin players, really. Big girl blouses..

Coffee Heaven

It has to be said -so I'm going to say it- that the cafes here in Sydney serve some of the best coffee in the world. Easily comparable with coffee in Spain or Italy. As I'm quite an afficionado of fine coffee I was very pleased to find this superb coffee here in Oz. A veritable cafe culture is the norm here and I love it. So, there..

Free money making book

The news is full of reports about the economic downturn and the financial credit crisis. It seems that we can’t get away from it. And, it is very true that these are worrying times for most people. After all, we all have to keep paying our bills and make ends meet. And, at the end of the day we could use some help in dealing with the way the economy seems to be going.

I came across a great new free book that could just help us to get through the downturn. This new free book is Credit Crunch Income , twenty one ways to make money online during the recession.

The book’s author Marc Liron said that the number of internet searches for how to make money blogging has increased enormously. More and more people are starting to see the Internet as a viable way to make money online from home. This is even more the case during the current economic recession.

This excellent free book deals with useful money making opportunities such as niche blogging, affiliate marketing, virtual assistants, software and widgets, teleseminars and even how to become a YouTube star.

I would recommend this outstanding book to anyone who is interested in making money online in the current financial climate. Useful, insightful, and, completely free. Check it out!

Fires

The fires in Victoria have shaken the nation. Terrible devastation has destroyed people's homes, wiped out whole communities and led to horrific loss of life. On Thursday there will be a national appeal to raise funds for the survivors and victims of the worst bushfires in Australian modern history. It really is immensely sad and terrifying. A hard land, to be sure..
